A TECHNICAL NOTE
At the end of May 2008, the online Directory reached 31 pages, and over 235 listings. The PDF file was 3.5MB. That is not much for a highspeed connection, but it takes a few minutes to download if you use a dail-up modem. The individual " County Directories" were created to aid those with slower dial-up connections. As you can see from what people are saying it is worth the time to download the primary Regional Directory as the all-in-one file for the nine county region.
If you experience garbled, or corrupted text when viewing a large PDF file within your web browser, simply save the file to your desktop. This will remove the garbled text, and allow you to utilize more quickly the hyper links to other web sites. In addition you can then zoom in for a better view of images and contact information. The garbled text problem can occur if you are using an older version of Adobe, and/or web browser--the combinations seem to vary according to technical sources. Saving the file to your desktop will greatly enhance your enjoyment of the resource we are building. Printing the Directory in color or B&W provides a great travel planner.
